Moving emails from Mac Mail to Outlook PST has never been this much easier. Try “Mail Passport Pro” to see.
I’ve been the first in line to buy Office suite when Microsoft announced Outlook 2016 for the first time. I have used Outlook 2011 for Mac, but last year I switched to Apple Mail because Outlook crashed too frequently. Outlook 2011 seemed something like from dark ages because it was launched in 2010, 6 years ago from now. And now after 6 years of wait, Microsoft launched 2016 version, which is something to say about Microsoft.
So when Outlook 2016 came, I decided to switch back to it, hoping that this one would be more stable. I also wanted other Office apps, so buying the whole Microsoft Office suite wasn’t exactly a head-scratcher for me. I was quiet excited to use Outlook 2016 because some of the demo videos I watched about it were very impressive. Microsoft had revamped its interface and stability to a whole new level.
But what I wasn’t aware of was the data in Apple Mail. I don’t even remember what I did back when I was switched to Apple Mail as it was my friends who helped me. This time he wasn’t around, and I had to the opposite — move emails from Apple Mail to Outlook 2016.
I then realized that Outlook 2016, even the Mac version, is capable of importing PST files, just as Windows versions do. I had previously converted Apple Mail data to Outlook for windows, and it worked decently but not quiet what I wanted. There were some data inaccuracies, it took a lot of time, and as far as I can remember, it was very hard. I wasn’t ready to do that again.
So this time around, I actually searched for the most simple and effective way for Mac mail to Pst conversion. The one I found took me by pleasant surprise. The tool is called “Mail Passport Pro” and it does exactly what it says — extract data from Mac Mail and then converts and implements it into PST file. This was all the info that I needed.
Without waiting another minute, I downloaded the free trial version. I thought it might be restricting me to use certain features, but there were no restrictions in features as such. I was able to use the whole range of functionality, except that it was only convert 10 items from Apple Mail to PST.
However, it was more than enough to let me know if it would be of any help. It was.
I registered for the full version, and within minutes I converted all the emails from Apple Mail to Pst files, and then later imported them to Outlook 2016. The whole process took something like 40 minutes, which is very impressive considering I had nearly 8 GB of data in Apple Mail.
Much more impressive is that quality of conversion that it delivered. All the items inside Apple Mail was very accurately converted into Pst without any sort of changes or corruption in data. All the email attachments, the images inside email body and their resolution, non-English text, and such were converted with a knife-like sharpness and precision.
Don’t hesitate to use it if you want to convert Mac Mail to PST.
Keep in mind that it is not only used if you want to move to Outlook 2016. If you are moving from Mac completely and trying Windows computer, and you have outlook installed in it, you will find this tool equally valuable.
